Singer Nicki Minaj has hit out at ESPN Magazine for excessive airbrushing in their latest issue.

The Super Bass star tweeted her disapproval of the glossy cover of the sports magazine's 'Music Issue', where she says her forehead 'mysteriously grows in length'.

And she shared some behind the scenes snaps on her Instagram page, which she said she prefers because of their more natural look.

Minaj poses alongside NBA superstar Kobe Bryant in one of three special edition covers.

While she hit out at the magazine, she also said she was "so honoured" to shoot with Kobe.

It seems that the rapper is certainly in a bargaining position as she was named as one of the highest earning women in music for 2013, taking home $29 million last year alone.

And she's not content with dominating the music world as she'll be starring with supermodel Kate Upton, actors Leslie Mann and Cameron Diaz in The Other Woman, due in theatres later this year.

The film sees the three women (minus Minaj) join forces after they realised they have all been played by the same man, actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
