Una Healy hits back at critics of her slim frame

Like most celebrity mothers, Una Healy snapped right back into shape after giving birth to daughter Aoife Belle last year. But The Saturdays singer admits that she has received a lot of slack for her slim physique.

"Sometimes people might say: "You could do with putting on a few pounds," but I’m not dieting," she told the latest issue of OK Magazine.

"This is me. I’ve always been slim since I was a swimmer as a child."

The Tipperary native grew up competing in swimming competitions and has always maintained a naturally skinny shape. And it seems as if her charmed life, which is documented on the band's E! reality show, Chasing the Saturdays, really is like a fairytale. She recently tweeted an adorable picture of her daughter's first birthday party, with a Minnie mouse theme.

Her English rugby player husband, Ben Foden also has a secret musical past.

"Years ago, he auditioned for Pop Idol before he was professional rugby player and he always sings so lads take the p*** out of him," Una revealed. "He sang recently for BMW, who sponsor the England team. He tweeted he’d love to replace Jay in 5ive but that’s why the lads can’t actually take the p*** out of him, because he’s so up front about it.

"He’s got a decent voice – I hope we pass on some decent genes to Aoife!"
