Thicke axed gig to fly out to wife?
Robin Thicke cancelled a gig to try to save his marriage, according to reports.
Blurred Lines singer Robin, 36, and actress Paula Patton, 38, announced their separation after nine years of marriage on February 24.
Now sources tell TMZ that the singer abruptly cancelled his show in Atlanta, blaming throat problems, to fly to Canada after Paula said she wanted to end the marriage.
Paula, who has appeared in the films M ission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Idlewild and Precious, is currently shooting a movie in Vancouver.
According to TMZ, Robin had wanted to save the marriage.
In a joint statement to People Magazine, the couple said they'd always be best friends.
"We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," they said.
Robin, who teamed up with a twerking Miley Cyrus at the MTV VMAs, and Paula met when they were teenagers.
They have a son, Julian Fuego Thicke, who was born in 2010.
