Springsteen to play three gigs on Irish 'tour'

ROCK legend Bruce Springsteen (63) will do three big gigs here next July, with debuts in Cork and Limerick.

Springsteen's other concert next year will be in Belfast. The dates are Thomond Park in Limerick (July 16), Pairc Ui Chaoimh in Cork (July 18) and the King's Hall Arena in Belfast (July 20).

'The Boss' will have the honour of playing the first major rock gig at the Cork GAA headquarters since Prince in 1990.

The venue also hosted U2 (1987) and Michael Jackson (1988). There are no plans – as yet – for a Dublin gig.

Tickets for the Cork and Limerick concerts, priced at €90 (standing) and €100 (seated), go on sale from Thursday, December 6, at 9am on Ticketmaster.
