Sharon Osbourne turned the air blue at the 2014 Daytime Emmy Awards, as she swore on stage.

For the first time, the glitzy ceremony celebrating the best of the small screen was streamed online rather than airing on TV, which allowed for more relaxed timings, and The Talk host delivered some profanity-filled language as she took to the stage.

Hurrying Entertainment Tonight's executive producer Linda Bell Blue during her speech, which was named joint best entertainment news programme alongside Extra, Sharon joked: "It's not being televised! Get on with it! I feel like I've been here for five f***ing hours and I've only just got here."

The 61-year-old, who presented Billy Miller with a gong for outstanding lead actor in a drama series, continued: "All this waffling. Now, ladies and gentlemen, this is not being televised so f***ing get pissed and have a good time."

Ellen DeGeneres, Steve Harvey and soap opera The Young And The Restless were among the 41st annual Daytime Emmy winners.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show received its eighth trophy as outstanding entertainment talk show at the awards ceremony in Beverly Hills, California.

The Steve Harvey show was honoured as outstanding informative talk show, while Harvey won as best game show host for Family Feud.

CBS' The Young And The Restless captured the best drama series honours, while Eileen Davidson of NBC's Days Of Our Lives was named best drama series actress.

ABC's Good Morning America won the best morning programme Emmy.

The ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hilton, Los Angeles, ended when host Kathy Griffin walked on stage yelling, "Say goodnight!" as The Young And The Restless's executive producer Jill Farren Phelps ran through a long list of thank-yous.
