Ronnie Wood weds with a little help from friends
Newlywed Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood poses with his bride Sally Humphreys surrounded by his rock star best men Rod Stewart and Paul McCartney.
Wood (65) has revealed how he told guests at the wedding at London's Dorchester Hotel that he wished he met his 35-year-old bride years before.
The picture, which also features her niece Heather (7), comes from the official wedding album, being published by 'Hello!', with the couple donating their fee to charities.
"It was a wonderful day," Wood said of his third wedding.
"She looked beautiful walking through that doorway. I feel very blessed to have a new family. My dad and brothers are no longer with us so it's really nice to be welcomed by a new gang. Her relatives are lovely."
He said he told guests: "I can't think of another girl more suited to me."
Wood's children Jesse, Tyrone and Leah took pride of place in the front row. "They are happy to see their dad happy," he said.
The Stones star said he chose his two best men because "they have always been very supportive of me and Sally".
Wood said his new wife accompanied him to McCartney's wedding to Nancy Shevell last year. "Paul was saying at the time, 'you two make a great couple'," he said.
