Pharrell 'excited' for The Voice
Pharrell Williams has revealed he is looking forward to joining the judging panel for the new season of The Voice US.
The Happy hitmaker said he cannot wait to help the next generation of music talent in the American edition of the singing show, before he played a Mastercard Priceless gig at the Brooklyn Bowl in London's O2 Arena.
"The Voice has given me the opportunity to not only coach new, young and fresh talent, but has also given me the platform to speak out to people out in TV land, who have some of the same questions or could take the advice or the pointers and further themselves as well," he said.
The 41-year-old producer added: "It's just a larger platform to speak to people. All we want to do is continue to raise the frequency so we're all in a good place."
Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani will also join the Get Lucky singer on the judging panel for the seventh series of the singing competition, which returns on US screens in September.
Pharrell, who recently collaborated with Ed Sheeran, revealed he has set his sights on doing more British collaborations in the future.
"I think Disclosure are talented and Adele is genius. I had a lot of fun with Ed Sheeran and I'm here for One Direction," he said.
The father-of-one also hinted at fresh N.E.R.D material being in the pipeline but teased: "You're going to have to wait and see."
