Legendary chat show host Oprah Winfrey stunned one of her Twitter fans when she agreed to give her a couture gown she wore on a magazine cover.
Twitter user 'Snobaby Brandi' told the star how much she loved the white designer frock she donned during a photo shoot for Essence magazine.
She jokingly wondered whether Oprah would give it to her, light-heartedly insisting the billionaire would never wear it again.
‘‘You look beautiful in that essence cover pic. WOW. CAN I please have that dress? Cuz I know u won't wear again lol luv u,’ the fan tweeted.
The Atlanta native was shocked when the superstar replied, agreeing to send her the expensive Brian Rennie for Basler white-feathered dress.
‘‘You're right I won't wear ever again contact my asst. and show her this tweet,’’ the 60-year-old said.
An ecstatic Snobaby answered, ‘‘THANK YOU!!! You are truly a blessing. Sitting alone in sadness and you have brightened my day. Bless U.’’
The fan has insisted she will wear the gown on her wedding day, just as soon as she finds Mr Right.
The Oscar-worthy ensemble has a partially grey billowing-feather skirt and sparkling bodice top.
One week later, the designer frock landed on her doorstep.
‘‘THANK YOU! Recv beautiful dress. Plan to wear at my wedding when I find a groom lol but will twt pic wearing it soon. Luv u to life!’’ she tweeted to the talk show host.
Oprah wore the dress on the cover of the February 2014 issue of Essence alongside Hollywood royalty Forest Whitaker, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Michael B. Jordan.
