Mrs Brown sets out her stall for D'Movie
FROM the small screen to the big screen, the cameras have begun rolling on 'Mrs Brown's Boys – D'Movie' on Dublin's Moore Street.
The first scenes shot yesterday feature the show's star Brendan O'Carroll as Agnes Brown dressed in her trademark smock and curly wig selling fruit from a stall on the lively Moore Street in Dublin.
'Bachelor's Walk' actor Simon Delaney has a cameo part in the film where he is told off by the foul-mouthed Irish mammy for handling her fruit.
Comedian June Rogers also stars as a stall owner.
Filming is set to continue for five weeks in Ireland before moving to the UK.
O'Carroll, then a struggling comedy writer and performer, created the Dublin widow for radio in the early 1990s. When the actress who was due to play Mrs Brown failed to turn up, O'Carroll, then aged 35, took on the role himself.
Last year 'Mrs Brown's Boys' won the Bafta award for Best Situation Comedy.
