Nicole Kidman has revealed why she and hubbie Keith Urban named their new daughter Faith Margaret.
At the SAG Awards, speaking to E! News on the red carpet, the actress said her daughter was called Faith because "we needed to have that through the whole pregnancy, that's what it required".
She added: "Margaret's my grandmother's name, she had her last baby at 49 so she's my inspiration."
Faith Margaret is the biological child of both Nicole and Keith but was born with the help of a surrogate.
The 43-year-old Aussie star revealed she had struggled to keep the pregnancy secret.
"I wanted to be able to tell everybody about her but at the same time we just decided that this was our thing together, it kind of just perpetuated itself," she explained.
"In the end we [thought], if we can get through it, why not [keep it a secret] because it protects her and it protects everyone in the situation," she said.
