Johnson is rock solid after op
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson showed he is in top spirits as he recovers from surgery, flexing his muscles from his hospital bed.
The GI Joe: Retaliation actor had to have an operation on his abdominal area after tearing his abdomen and abductor muscles while defending his WWE wrestling title in an April 7 match against John Cena.
"Surgery a success! Dr repaired 3 hernial tears (fun pain). Superman is on the mend.. #WeFallWeRise" tweeted the 40-year-old, with a photo of him showing off his biceps in a tight Superman T-shirt.
Dwayne, who missed the Los Angeles premiere of his new film Pain And Gain because of the operation, also joked with director Michael Bay, who said at the premiere: "Dwayne's hurt tonight. He was pushing it too hard. [He] needs to grow up and stop wrestling 300-pound men."
The wrestler-actor replied: "Funny s***! Michael Bay joked I should stop wrestling 300lb men. I agree - I'll switch to women. #ALLPainNOGain."
He previously revealed the extent of the damage following the wrestling bout.
"Saw my Dr who had to push my intestines back thru the tear in my abdomen. Kinda romantic," he wrote.
Dwayne, who has been preparing for his upcoming role as Greek demi-god Hercules, is due to return to the UK for the premiere of Fast And Furious 6 in May.
