DUBLIN stylist Darren Kennedy has found himself rubbing shoulders with movie stars, TV presenters and singing sensations at Men's Fashion Week in London.

Ireland's most stylish man of the year even offered to lend a jacket to X Factor presenter Dermot O'Leary for the start of the 10th series.

"He told me he really liked my turquoise jacket and I said, 'Well, if you ever need a lend of it for the X Factor, give me a shout'."

And Darren was also lucky enough to meet Wonderman singer Tinie Tempah.

"I didn't know who he was at first, because he's a lot smaller in real life. But he was a lovely guy. He was very cool and very well dressed."

Darren likes to mix quirky pieces with well tailored classics, and was delighted to head out to Old Billingsgate earlier in the week to see Hackett's catwalk show.

"I'm a big fan of suit jackets and well tailored pieces – it was a beautiful collection. Samuel L Jackson was in the crowd."

The fashion has been pretty outrageous at Men's Fashion Week: JW Anderson sent male models down the catwalk in floral halter necks, there has also been an array of sheer lace jumpsuits.

"The great thing about Men's Fashion Week is that it's much, much more relaxed than Women's Fashion Week," said Darren.

"Everyone is really chilled out. And the fashion is great."

But Darren says the real fun starts at the after-show parties.

"There have been a ton of great events and parties – I bumped into Jesse Metcalfe and David Gandy the other night."
