George Lucas sets wedding date
George Lucas has set a date to marry his long-time girlfriend Mellody Hobson.
The Star Wars creator has been dating the chair of Dreamworks Animation since 2006 and they are now set to tie the knot on June 29 at the Chicago Peninsula Hotel, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Former New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley will give the bride away at the summer ceremony.
George became engaged to Mellody, head of the Chicago-based investment management firm Ariel Investments ltc and chairman of Ariel Mutual Funds, in January of this year.
It will be the first marriage for Mellody, 43, and the second for George, 68, who divorced first wife, film editor Marcia Lou Griffin in 1983 after 14 years of marriage.
