Friends Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox teamed up for a hilarious sketch to promote Ellen DeGeneres's chat show.

The sketch was prompted by recent rumours, which have been denied, that the cast of Friends - which also included David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc - were planning to get together for a reunion special of the hit comedy, which ended in 2004.

Jennifer, who is due to co-host on Ellen this week, appears in the sketch knocking on Matthew's front door and asking for his advice with her performance.

When Matthew tells her she shouldn't show up at people's homes at 8am, Jennifer says: "What are you talking about? We used to walk into each other's apartments all the time. We're Friends."

Matthew tells her: "That was a TV show" and she calls him "David", jokingly confusing him with co-star David Schwimmer.

She then asks again for tips, saying "Go on!" Matthew - whose new show Go On just got cancelled - tells her "Don't say Go On."

Courteney then appears at the door and they are both shocked to see each other, with Courteney calling Jennifer "Lisa".

Courtney then asks Matthew: "You're sleeping with her too? You are disgusting. I am never sleeping with you again," and storms off.

The sketch ends with Ellen's wife Portia de Rossi and Ellen also sneaking out of the apartment and Matthew shouting: "LeBlanc! Get out of the fountain man!"
