Bressie failed to land ticket for Ireland's match
He may be one of Ireland's most sought after men, but rugby player turned singer Bressie could not charm his way to Twickenham on Saturday.
The Voice of Ireland star had to make do with watching the crunch Six Nations game in his local pub in Mullingar after attempts to secure tickets for the London clash failed.
Bressie, who played for Leinster as a promising youngster, has plenty of connections in London after living there for several years.
"I wanted to go back to England to watch the game but it was literally impossible to get a ticket," the 33-year-old told the Diary.
"I hit up a few people over there to see if they could get me a ticket but it doesn't work like that. It was such a big game for the English supporters as well."
Instead, the ex-Blizzards frontman, who had his head shaved on Friday in aid of the Irish Cancer Society and cancer support centre LARCC, headed home to watch the game with his dad.
Other celebrities had more luck with former model Yvonne Keating and One Direction star Niall Horan enjoying pitchside seats to watch the agonising three point defeat to England.
Meanwhile, model Holly Carpenter enjoyed herself in the stands where she kept a close eye on her other half, Irish prop Cian Healy.
The 22-year-old flew out to London on Friday night with Irish sub Jack McGrath's girlfriend and calmed her nerves with brunch before taking her seat for the tense encounter.
The glamorous brunette showed her colours by sporting an Irish themed necklace to make up for not wearing a jersey and she later consoled boyfriend Cian when she attended the post-match meal on his arm.
