Blue skies and glorious spring sunshine lifted spirits across the country yesterday.

However, a cold front crossing the country this evening means the clement weather will probably fade by tomorrow morning.

Thankfully, showers will be light and won't interrupt nationwide St Patrick's Day parades.

Friday will be a cool, windy day with patches of rain, drizzle and fog - so grab an umbrella before joining the crowds.

Today, the weather will be "bright and fresh" with sunny spells and isolated showers.

On Saturday, there will be sunny spells with scattered outbreaks of rain.
