Summer weather washout is set to continue for this week at least
CLOUDY, rain, drizzle, a few sunny spells – we’ve heard it all before and unfortunately we are going to hear it again for the foreseeable future.
Met Eireann is forecasting mixed weather with lots of rain between now and Friday.
Temperatures are expected to nudge no higher than 17C all week with Wednesday expected to the sunniest day – although the bright spells will be marred by some heavy showers.
A band of rain over the country will give rain of up to 10mm in places on Thursday, but it will peter out in the evening and Friday will be mainly dry with a few scattered showers.
At this early stage the weekend is expected to bring bright fresh conditions with sunny spells and passing showers.
