Motorists are being warned of heavy traffic in Dublin this morning after a collision on the M50 and a breakdown in the Port Tunnel.

The earlier collision on the southbound M50 between junction 4 Ballymun and junction 5 Finglas has been cleared. However, traffic is still heavy on the motorway between junction 5 Finglas and 7 Palmerstown.

At Dublin’s Port Tunnel, the south bore was closed for a time due to a breakdown but has now reopened, with traffic still heavy. Earlier the north bore reopened after a closure to clear debris.

The tunnel will also be closed from 10pm tonight until 5am tomorrow morning.
