Some sunny spells, but don’t forget your umbrella because the rain will never be too far away.

It looks like today will be the best day of the weekend so any barbecue plans should be made now, otherwise consider some waterproof accessories.

Saturday is expected to be a "fine evening" according to Met Eireann with "bright, sunny spells".

Met Eireann Forecaster Joan Blackburn said 2temperatures are set to reach highs of 19 degrees and it will be a clear, calm night".

However, she warns that rain will gather along the south west coast on Sunday and spread upwards throughout the country into the night.

Temperatures will vary between about 15 degrees and 18 degrees.

Monday will start off with "quite a bit of rain" but it is expected to brighten up into the afteroon.

Met Eireann predicts "some very unsettled weather into the rest of the week, with heavy showers forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.”
