It's not a week to forget your umbrella - although we do have ONE nice day on the horizon
It's bad news for sun seekers as we can officially wave goodbye to our sunny spell.
Met Eireann have forecast the current heavy rain and humidity to continue throughout the week, although we do have a sunny Saturday predicted to keep our spirits high.
A mix of blue skies and heavy rain showers will feature across the country and even more downpours are on the horizon in the next couple of days.
A forecaster told Independent.ie that there could also be spells of thunder and lightning.
"Today will be mostly cloudy with heavy rain in the east and north-west of the country," they said.
"The rain will bring a high level of humidity with temperatures between 14 to 18 degrees."
Don't forget your umbrella tomorrow as heavy showers are expected while temperatures are expected to reach between 16 to 18 degrees.
Thursday will bring some sunshine with fewer showers but temperatures will drop slightly.
However, the 'Friday feeling' will be out in force as there will be a good start to the weekend.
Friday and Saturday bring sunshine with temperatures set to reach up to 20 degrees.
It’s not to last though, as the rainy and humid weather will return again on Saturday night and remain for Sunday.
