It will be warm this Bank Holiday Sunday... but it's not all good news
Those planning to spend the rest of the June Bank Holiday weekend out and about may now have to start making different plans.
Yesterday’s showery weather, which emerged in the afternoon, is expected to carry over into the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend as more spells of persistent rain are forecast.
Today could see temperatures reach as high as 18 degrees, but scattered showers from the west are expected to become widespread and heavy as the day continues.
Tonight will see wet and windy weather travel across the country overnight, with night time temperatures ranging between 7 and 10 degrees according Met Eireann.
Tomorrow’s Bank Holiday Monday will see temperatures drop down to cooler levels of between 12 and 15 degrees.
It will generally be cloudy, with the chance of heavy and persistent rain at times throughout the day.
Tuesday will feature some good sunny spells, but will also be accompanied with scattered showers and temperatures no higher than 16 degrees.
