It will be a 'typical' August Bank Holiday weekend, says forecaster
The weather this Bank Holiday weekend will be mixed with some good sunshine but also plenty of showers and wind.
John Eagleton, forecaster with Met Eireann, said Thursday and Friday will be best for weather while Sunday will be the worst.
And anyone looking for the best weather this weekend is advised to head to Wexford and the "sunny south east".
Today is likely to be the warmest day with temperatures of up to 21 degrees. However rain showers are expected this evening and anyone at the Galway races is advised to bring their umbrella and raincoat.

Mr Eagleton said Thursday will be "drier, brighter but also quite breezy".
Friday and Saturday will have a more "autumnal feel", he explained.
"There will be nice brightness. There will be well scattered showers and south westerly winds."
Sunday will be the worst day for rain and wind but the weather will return to normal on Monday.
"It's not spectacular but it won't be a total disaster. A good working weekend," he added.
"The showers will be well scattered and there won't be any thunderstorms."
