It will be 21 degrees today... but it's not all good news
The mercury is due to rise to 21 degrees today - but it is not all good news on the weather front as rain is due to make its way across the country.
This morning's dull and foggy start will brighten up as the day progresses and it is expected to clear up for a time in the east of the country this afternoon.
"There'll be brighter weather for a time in the east and southeast but a spell of persistent rain will develop early in the west and push eastwards, becoming light and patchy as it passes over the country," according to Met Eireann.
"With temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees to start the day it will feel warm and humid early on and temperatures will rise to between 17 and 21 degrees this afternoon. Winds will be mainly light southwesterly, increasing moderate later. A spell of heavy rain will develop in the southwest this evening."

Monday night will bring heavy rain.
However Tuesday will begin dry as the rain clears the east coast.
"Wednesday will be a mostly dry day but there'll be some patchy rain in the west towards evening. Temperatures will range between 16 and 18 degrees in the afternoon," according to the national forecaster.
Later in the week it looks set to remain showery throughout the country, with rain becoming more widespread on Friday.
