World record for 'longest melody played by a model train' set in Germany

The world record for 'longest melody played by a model train', was set by Miniatur Wunderland – home of the world's largest model train set – in Hamburg, Germany.

The team at Miniatur Wunderland were congratulated by Guinness World Records, after they managed to create a medley of classical pieces consiting of a total 2,840 notes, using a train set and glasses of water.

Miniatur Wunderland is a model railway and miniature airport attraction, that had to be closed to visitors during lockdown.

The team said the record could not have been achieved if it had not been for rare opportunity of closing.
