VIDEO: Sledgehammer-wielding bank robber foiled by angry customers
A bungling bank robber has been left red-faced after staff and members of the public interrupted his smash-and-grab raid on a bank in China.
In the video above, the man is seen smashing through a counter window with a sledgehammer to gain access to the bank tills. The 22 year old created a hole in the glass that was big enough to climb through.
But while the robber was slowly etching through the glass, quick-thinking bank staff locked away all of the cash in a safe before hiding.
The robber's plan was soon foiled when locals wandered into the bank after hearing commotion. They managed to trap the robber until the police arrived. The investigation is ongoing.
