Owners of Marine Bar Dungarvan play a beautiful rendition of Wild Mountain Thyme, to mark their 100th virtual fireside session.
Christy and Eoghan O'Neill had been organising "Fireside Sessions" every Friday in their pub before the pandemic hit. When pubs were required to close earlier this year, they decided to keep live music going virtually.
"When Covid-19 closed our doors, we couldn't let it stop us singing! We've been posting a video a day since 24th March to keep the session going and the response has been overwhelming." Said daughter Muireann O'Neill.
"Yesterday, we hit 100 videos - that's 100 days of songs, poems and tunes from all over Ireland, the UK, Germany, Canada, the USA and beyond! We even had a shout out from Daniel O'Donnell!"
The pub will continue publishing music daily until their doors reopen on July 20th.
"While the digital sessions have been so enjoyable, we cannot wait for the real deal on the 20th July when The Marine opens again!" Muireann said.
