In Plain Sight: Galway Hurler joins crusade to fight blindness


Galway hurler and All-Ireland winner Padraic Mannion recently travelled to Sierra Leone in West Africa to see first hand the work being done by Sightsavers, the charity which is working in over 30 countries to restore sight, prevent blindness and fight for disability rights. Mannion is a goodwill ambassador for Sightsavers. John Greene, Sunday Independent sports editor, accompanied the two-time All Star on his journey and they witnessed extraordinary scenes in a country in flux.
