Arsenal just reinvented football transfer announcements

From now on we hope all signings will be announced in puzzle form.

Football club social media accounts seem to spend most of their time being told by impatient fans to announce signings, so when Arsenal actually had a player to announce, they had some fun with it.

In cryptic fashion the north London team’s Twitter account posted a riddle of sorts for the fans to decipher.

See how long it takes you to figure this out.

When asked to spot the 10 players Arsene Wenger had signed, it appeared only nine were visible on the screen – the 10th was Wenger’s latest signing Sead Kolasinac, whose surname was spelled out by the previous nine players.

Sneaky stuff.

The 23-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovina international will join Arsenal on a free transfer in July – the left-back moves to England from German side Schalke, and he’s pretty handy with the ball at his feet by the look of it.

Not too difficult a name to spell, but one we’re sure some commentators will struggle to pronounce.

No matter – the man himself was around to clear up any confusion.

Simple as that.
