Rural drivers should get a 'local two-pint permit', Danny Healy-Rae tells the Dáil


Kerry Independent TD, Danny Healy-Rae, has renewed his call for rural drivers to be given a “two-pint permit” for certain local roads allowing them to socialise and drink alcohol. The call has been rejected as “blatant irresponsible nonsense” by the Tánaiste, Simon Coveney, who said too many lives were lost due to drink driving.
