Models create catwalks in their homes

Fashion models couldn't take to the usual catwalk format in stores this season so instead, the catwalk went to them, and right into their living rooms.

The Arnotts response to the pandemic lockdown was to send out designer looks from their new SS21 season buy to models around the country and the end result is a fashion shoot with lots of personal reveals, and more than a few doggie friends.

Thalia Heffernan's better half, Dancing With The Stars pro Ryan Mc Shane who she fell in love with after appearing on the RTE show in 2017 captured her modelling designer labels looks at their home in Armagh.

"I trusted Ryan to be my professional photographer and videographer for the day and I think he did a great job. It was fun and interesting and I got to boss him for the day," said Thalia whose graphic print Marella two piece was set off by the dark navy living room walls the couple painted during lockdown.

" Both of us lost at least 90pc of our jobs with Covid so it's been a long year in the house. We decided to bring some joy into other people's living rooms so we are doing dance classes and on St Patrick's Day, we are doing an hour long cha-cha class in our living room, the same room where we shot the fashion images this week," said Thalia.

The Dublin-born model moved with her two rescue Lurchers, Leonard and Charlie, to Ryan's hometown of Armagh and the pair were like true professionals in shots taken in the house and out for a country walk where Thalia modelled a Weekend Max Mara trench coat with wellies.

The striking O'Reilly twins, Sadhbh and Cadhla from Co Kildare modelled brands like Queens of Archive, Gestuz, Samsoe and Samsoe and See by Chloé, and introduced us to their dog Coco who was named after French fashion legend, Coco Chanel.

It is 18 months since the sisters wowed at the Arnotts new season show walking in unison. They are both students at Maynooth where Cadla is studying law and Sadhbh is studying geography.

Across the county, another top model, Kelly Horrigan modelled a Selected Femme lemon trouser suit and Theory dress with her Frenchie dog, Eddie, making a guest (appearance.

New mum Teodora Sutra whose daughter Isabella was born last July was photographed wearing a boho floral midi from See By Chloe, one of nine new labels in store this season.

Silver haired model Mary Dunne who also works in Arnotts posed at home in Dublin wearing a Weekend Max Mara ombre dress. She later.strolled Clontarf seafront and played in her garden with a dog wearing a striking blue Fabienne Chapot floral midi.
