Missile strikes residential building in Kyiv, as countries around the world protest invasion
Ukraine’s official news agency Ukrinform said the rocket hit 17-18 floors of the building, and evacuation is underway. Firefighters extinguished smoke and fire after the Russian rocket damaged the apartment building in suburban Kyiv.
Miraculously no-one was killed in the attack but highlights the huge danger to civilians caught in the war zone.
According to news agency Nexta, the heavily-damaged building is located on Lobanovsky Avenue, in Kyiv's Solon'Yans'Kyi district.
Kyiv has been under bombardment since Russia's soldiers continued their push to capture the capital city.
