Former Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Katherine Zappone said she has wondered why after such a long time fighting for marriage equality did she and her partner 'have such a short time together.'
In an interview with ShoutOut, Zappone reflects on her battle for marriage equality with her wife Anne Louise, who died in 2017; shortly after the pair married.
"We had an amazing relationship and love affair for 35 years, even in the context of a more closed Ireland. So it's possible, and love conquers all", Zappone said. You can find the full interview here.
