Karen Koster teary-eyed after surprise 40th birthday celebration on Ireland AM

Ireland AM presenter Karen Koster was left teary-eyed and in shock after her colleagues surprised her with a video montage to mark her upcoming 40th birthday.

Karen was just gearing up to present a style clip on the show when co-presenter Tommy Bowe appeared from out-of-shot to inform her they had a surprise for her.

The video montage included clips of her friends and family, pictures of her youth and also hilarious montages from her time presenting the show.

Karen was blown away by the gesture from her Ireland AM colleagues and wiped away tears as she thanked her team for such a thoughtful gesture.

Karen was also presented with a large pink birthday cake, as well as champagne and flowers.

“I cannot believe that, I am so stunned So many people that I haven’t seen for 20 years.. I can’t speak, I’m a blubbering mess,” Karen said.
