Kerry Climbing have said that all hikers in the area must be properly equipped, as conditions could turn treacherous.
"Anyone venturing into MacGillycuddys Reeks should ensure that they are properly equipped for Winter conditions and, if inexperienced, should hire a Qualified Mountain Guide," wrote the adventure company.
With temperatures plummeting to lows of -1C, Met Eireann has advised people to brace themselves for a return of frost and snow from today.
