HSE Director gives vaccination expectations for April, May and June

Damien McCallion, National lead of the Covid-19 vaccination programme in the HSE, gives his current vaccination estimates for the months of April, May and June.

Lead of the Covid-19 vaccination programme in Ireland Damien McCallion was asked about current vaccination hopes for the months of April, May and June at an Oireachtas hearing.

He said that "significant supply challenges" make it difficult to predict how many people will be given a jab against Covid-19 in Ireland over the three months.

Mr McCallion said he currently expects 800,000 vaccine shots to be given in April, 1.4 million in May and 1.6 million in June.
