WATCH: This Irish ice-cream parlour has created Tomato Ketchup flavoured ice-cream - and people love it

An Irish ice-cream parlour has become the talk of the town after it began to feature flavours with a little bit of a kick on its menu.

Gelati Enniscrone, in Co Sligo, has been shocked by the public's response after introducing a Tomato Ketchup flavoured ice-cream to their store.

Owner Micheal O'Dowd, was born into the ice cream business in the 60s when his mother had an ice cream shop on the beach in Enniscrone.

"I went to Gelato University in Bologna, Italy in 2012 to master the art of gelato making," Micheal told Independent.ie.

"The initial reaction people have before tasting the flavour isn't good but after they taste it there is definitely a positive reaction. It's a bit like spicy ice-cream."

Since the video was posted on social media it has amassed over 30 million views.
