CCTV captures the shocking moment a drunk driver in China tried to mount the pavement to escape the police chasing him. In the bizarre footage, a silver car can be seen cutting across oncoming traffic and slowing to a halt as it fails to overcome the side of the pavement. Passerbys watch on as after repeated attempts, the driver tries to back away as officers give chase on foot.
