'Giant crocodile' causes unrest on streets of the Philippines

There was fear on the streets of the Philippine capital Manila on Saturday when a truck with a seven meter long - still living - crocodile drove through a neighbourhood.

The giant reptile attracted a lot of prying eyes, as the state media published an article on the "capture" of a "record-breaking crocodile."

The Philippine News Agency had to quickly retract that message when it turned out that they had been tricked.

The Crocodile is Fake, a robot that stars in Lolong, a commercial Philippine channel's new series about the world's largest saltwater crocodile. The giant prop was taken to the streets of Manila as a publicity stunt.
