Oireachtas news reporter Flor Mac Carthy was filming outside the Department of Finance on Tuesday when she was interrupted by a Viking Splash Tour bus.
And, like most of us, she couldn't help but laugh.
She told Independent.ie: "I was filming a pre-recorded report on how the budget process works, for inclusion in our Live Budget Special programme which went out just before the Budget coverage in the Dáil on Tuesday.
There was producer Michelle Devane, camermana Nick McKenna, and myself so Nick is the man who has to get credit for the clip.
"I used to do this all the time as an RTÉ news reporter - but it had been a while since the last time so I wanted to get it right.
"So there I am, serious topic, Budget 2018, outside Dept of Finance, deadline looming.
"We'd already filmed several takes, as the sun was glaring and the lunch crowd was coming out of the building.
"I'd fluffed my lines and I knew the clock was ticking to get this done," she added.
And that was when the infamous Viking Splash Tour vehicle loomed up on its trip around the city.
"The first thing I heard was 'On your right folks, filming for TV is a famous Irish actress. It's Victoria Smurfit. Howr'ya Victoria!'
"And that's when I cracked..."
"It was a great bit of fun and the passers-by were in stitches too," said Flor.
But the driver wasn't done yet.
"And now if you look to your left, the Merrion Hotel, the 67th best restaurant in the world" he paused before adding "I'll be going in there for me chicken nuggets later!".
Flor admits she has been on the other side of the Viking Splash experience before.
"I've taken the Viking Splash Tour several times (with the kids and with Icelandic friends who loved it!) - and I've roared at unsuspecting passers-by too!
"I'm not sure all the tourists understand the commentary from the driver and tour guide but it's all in good humour.
"People have clearly enjoyed it - including the Minister for Finance. Paschal Donohoe 'liked' my Twitter post!
And Flor is now going to check for the famous yellow boat/bus before starting her links.
"I'll be on the lookout for those Vikings next time - and go for it in one take."
