Heads will roll after JJ Hough's pub in Banagher gets a bad Pub Spy rating...
NEVER let it be said that the Sunday World doesn’t respond to criticism from its readers.
Last week, an Offaly pub managed to go viral with their video response to a negative review in the Sunday World’s world-famous ‘Pub Spy’ column.
The renowned reviewer gave JJ Houghs in Banagher, Co Offaly, just two out of five stars and criticised the pub’s concrete floor.
However, in a witty video response, publican Ger Hough points out that the pub is a heritage site that dates back to an old “14th Century Monastery."
He jokingly decides to smash a sledgehammer into the ancient floor of the Offaly pub before destroying other priceless historical artefacts.
But now, the Sunday World have responded with a video of their own, addressing the controversy.
