WATCH: Charming short film documents the end of an era as old-school Dublin DIY shop closes its doors

Churchtown Stores, an old-school hardware shop in Dublin run by three brothers who have worked together for 30 years, closes its doors

Independent shops like these are becoming rarer as time goes but this charming short film documents the end of an era at the old-school shop in Churchtown.

The three brothers Barry, Kieran and Fehan Flood, have run the shop on Braemor Road in the village since it opened in 1987.

The much-loved shop closes the shutters for good at the end of the month after the trio agreed that they should retire and they speak lo0vingly of the fun they have had over the years.
