This Kerry student's soul-stirring performance of 'O Holy Night' is sure to make you festive

Kerry student Julie Rose Bowell performed this beautiful rendition of the classic Christmas carol, for a show in aid of the Kerry Hospice.

The sixth year student, based in Killorgan, gave a sensational performance, which has been viewed over 13,000 times since it was posted to social media.

Speaking to Independent.ie, Julie explained how she had performed the song a year earlier, at her Grandfather's funeral.

"It's my grandmother's favourite song, and I had performed it at my grandfather's funeral a year before." Julie said.

"My grandmother was actually in the audience when the video was taken, so in my mind I was performing the song for her."

The crowd's reaction at the end of the performance shows just how powerful her rendition was.

"The reaction to the video has been overwhelming. It's an amazing feeling that people have been getting such emotional responses from my singing."
