Dublin according to Finglas' Father Christmas – 'Festivity helps relieve the hardship'

Cappagh resident and Christmas enthusiast Dylan Walsh has been bringing Christmas cheer to Finglas for years, while also raising money for charity.

Finglas resident Dylan Walsh has been using his and his neighbours' homes to create Dublin's own Winter Wonderland annually, bringing joy to onlookers while also raising much-needed funds for charity.

"The feedback that we got last year; it lifted everyone's spirits." Dylan told Independent.ie.

"There is pain and misery here, I'm not going to sugar-coat it and say there's not.

"It's just a way of bringing joy to the area for a good month of the year."

This year he's not only got the decorations out, but he's brought in a Santa experience for children of parents that might be struggling financially this year.

You can support Dylan's GoFundme page here, with donations going towards Finglas Suicide network and Arc Cancer Support.
