Crime-busting rescue cat sniffs out felonies at Texas police station

A crime-busting cat who was rescued from a shelter is sniffing out felonies at a police station where he has risen to second in command and keeps all his officers in line while going on daily paw-trols.

The Captain, a six-year-old ginger moggy, has worked 24 hours a day since he was first adopted by Chief Colin Rangnow, and administrative assistant Karen Neal, at the Port Lavaca Police Department in Port Lavaca, Texas, USA. Initially naming him The Captain was a joke but he has since grown into the role.
