Black amputee shot dead by US police
Los Angeles police are reported to have shot dead Anthony Lowe Jr, a black wheelchair-bound double amputee.
Video footage shared widely on social media, shows the man jumping off his wheelchair with a knife and running away from two police officers. The two officers can be seen pointing guns at the man.
Two officers from Huntington Park Police Department were temporarily stood down from duty on Monday, after they fired at eight or more shots at the father of two.
Police said they were responding to reports of a person having been stabbed by a man in a wheelchair.
