An image of Bernie Sanders wearing knitted mittens at Joe Biden's inauguration has inspired the creation of countless memes all over the world.
Instagram, Snapchat and a generator for Google Street View have been used to show the Vermount Senator in unlikely settings.
Sanders was dressed in relatively casual attire during Wednesday’s ceremony, wearing a winter coat and knitted mittens.
"I was just sitting there trying to keep warm." Sanders said when asked about the image on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Comedian and actress Schumer shared a photoshopped image which showed the politician looking on during the birth of her son.
Alongside the image, she wrote: “Bernie has always been there for me our son and our greatest treasure.”
Actress Parker shared an image depicting Sanders alongside her and Sex And The City co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.
The mittens were made by a Vermont schoolteacher, Jen Ellis, who said she made them from "repurposed wool sweaters and lined with fleece."
Ellis has expressed thanks after the recognition her mittens received, and said she was flattered Bernie Sanders wore them to the inauguration.
