ARCHIVE: Over 600 Irish events industry workers sign open letter to government seeking Covid-19 support
The live events and entertainment sector has published an open letter to government consisting of over 600 signatures. The letter highlights the impact the Covid-19 pandemic has had on the industry and seeks increased supports to help the sector. The letter, published by EPIC (Event Production Industry Covid-19 Working Group), states the pandemic 'has been as great a disaster for Ireland’s entertainment and hospitality sectors as the 2007/2008 banking crisis' A video accompanying the letter, entitled ‘This Is Who We Are’, was also released to raise awareness of the sector.
