Quite simply, the best you can get

John O'Keeffe

This is incredible. Period. Never before in the history of mankind, well, Wicklow anyway, has a home and estate of this magnitude and grandeur come on the market. There is no one, I repeat no one, who could not see themselves living here amid the good burghers of Enniskerry.

It really is a beauty. Tucked in away from the public road and surrounded by its own lands beneath the Sugar Loaf Mountains and with sea views, the house enjoys a private and picturesque setting, while the long avenue leading up to it branches off to give access to the equestrian yard.

The real bonus here -- and there are many -- is that the home has been restored to the highest standard by the present owners, and so everything is in excellent decorative order, with the house retaining many of its period features and much of its original character.

There are three rather grand reception rooms, a large conservatory sunroom, a bespoke kitchen and five bedrooms, three of which are en suite. The gardens surrounding the house are wonderfully mature and include some delightful specimen shrubs and trees. Get this though; a short walk from the house, at the rear of the equestrian yard, is a purpose-built helicopter hanger with a concrete outside pad. Unreal.

Time to live the dream, Missus.
