Waterford Football Club is an Irish soccer club based in Waterford.
The fact that they can bring 750 of their supporters to Dublin for an FAI Cup semi-final, one they have a chance of winning based on recent form, is being taken as a sign that Waterford FC have emerged from their time of chaos and are on the right road at last.
For a large part of the 20th century, the Hale family was a virtual assembly line for Waterford Football Club. In the 1930s brothers Alfie, George, John and Tom set the ball rolling, all playing for the Blues, with Alfie also lining out for Shamrock Rovers on a tour of the United States.
