Former Mars boss on work, rest and play – and her new roles on various boards
It’s less than eight months since Fiona Dawson retired from a 33-year career at food giant Mars – and one of the biggest upsides has been less international travel. “I don’t have to sleep on a plane any more,” she says in a quiet corner of Dublin’s Shelbourne Hotel. “Getting changed in the loo on the airplane, and what have you, to go into a meeting, it’s definitely not all that it’s cracked up to be.”
